We’d like to say a really massive thank you to John Slattery and all the team at Slattery’s Pattisier and Chocolatier in Whitefield, who have raised an outstanding £7,170 for MedEquip4Kids this Christmas through their prize draw.

Slattery’s offered a truly fabulous and incredibly generous prize – a whole YEAR of treats and offers worth a total of £2,000.  These included a meal for two every month in the Masons dining room, a one-day Slattery course, celebration cakes, seasonal gifts, a private tour of the business, birthday treats, and the ultimate Christmas hamper filled with chocolate, mince pies, cakes, hot chocolate and much more.

The lucky winning ticket was drawn at a special event at Slattery’s on 4th December.  Well done to Jonathan Lever and family, who’ll be making the most of everything Slattery’s has to offer  throughout 2020! Congratulations also to the runners-up who received chocolates and a £25 gift voucher: Amanda Loftus, Bev Kemp, Elizabeth Evans, Lesley Curran, Lyndsey Snowdon, Ruth Brearley, Anita Gingell, Marie James, Siobhan Nesbitt and Catherine Lawler.

The funds raised will help local hospitals by providing much-needed equipment so every child can receive the excellent medical care they deserve.

“The switch adapted toys have been a wonderful addition to our school. Both staff and children were thrilled to have some new exciting resources. The children love the lights and movement many of these switch toys have and are highly motivated to explore and investigate how to make them work. They have been great for pupils to develop their understanding of cause and effect and we have also noticed improved concentration and engagement when using them. Often it can be difficult to find toys that are robust enough to withstand lots of heavy use AND be interesting and fun. These new resources tick all those boxes. They have made a noticeable impact on the children’s development in this area.”
