On Sunday we had a lovely time at a social event in the Virgin Money Lounge to support our runners competing in the Great Manchester Run later this  month to raise funds for MedEquip4Kids.

The amazing Aleya Mae performed a set and participated in a mini raffle. Aleya Mae blew everyone away with her stunning vocals. She gave up her free time to support MedEquip4Kids and even gave away EPs, asking that those who take one make a small contribution to the charity, which was so generous of her.

Aleya said: “I really admire what the charity does. It’s for such a beautiful cause. I put these things into perspective as if it was one of my own family members or friends who needed the support given, then at least I can say I’ve done my bit.”

You can find out more about Aleya Mae on her Facebook page.

We’d also like to thank Jennifer and Sue at Virgin Money for once again being fantastic hosts, Wilkinsons and Vodka Revolutions (Parsonage Gardens) for their raffle prize contributions, and the intimate gathering of attendees for their generosity.

The Simplyhealth Great Manchester 10k and half-marathon takes place on Sunday 20 May. We wish all our fabulous runners the very best of luck.

“The switch adapted toys have been a wonderful addition to our school. Both staff and children were thrilled to have some new exciting resources. The children love the lights and movement many of these switch toys have and are highly motivated to explore and investigate how to make them work. They have been great for pupils to develop their understanding of cause and effect and we have also noticed improved concentration and engagement when using them. Often it can be difficult to find toys that are robust enough to withstand lots of heavy use AND be interesting and fun. These new resources tick all those boxes. They have made a noticeable impact on the children’s development in this area.”
