Calling all keen cyclists! MedEquip4Kids is offering you the exclusive opportunity to take part in the Chris Hoy 100 Sportive  absolutely free of charge (it normally costs £35 to participate). Organised by Evans Cycles, the challenge is to complete a 100 mile or 100km cycle around the Cheshire countryside.

The event takes place on Sunday 2nd July and starts and finishes at Arley Hall and Gardens, Northwich CW9 6NA. Start time is 08.30 – 9.30am.

All we ask is that you support our local hospitals in Greater Manchester by asking people to sponsor you and raising as much as you can for the MedEquip4Kids Appeal. The appeal was launched following the devastating terror attack on Manchester Arena to raise £100,000 to make sure hospitals in Greater Manchester are fully equipped to provide emergency treatment, rehabilitation and long-term care to children and young people in the event of such incidents.

To register on the event ASAP, either complete the form on our event page, email us your details to info@medequip4kids.org.uk, or ring Clare or Sarah on 0161 798 1600. NB: only registration via MedEquip4Kids will guarantee your free place! For more details about the event, click here.

“The switch adapted toys have been a wonderful addition to our school. Both staff and children were thrilled to have some new exciting resources. The children love the lights and movement many of these switch toys have and are highly motivated to explore and investigate how to make them work. They have been great for pupils to develop their understanding of cause and effect and we have also noticed improved concentration and engagement when using them. Often it can be difficult to find toys that are robust enough to withstand lots of heavy use AND be interesting and fun. These new resources tick all those boxes. They have made a noticeable impact on the children’s development in this area.”
