Donna Louise Trust Hospice – Suction Pumps (10-030)

3 x Medela Suction Pumps

The hospice cares for children with terminal illness, both as residents and in the community. Many of their patients need a tracheotomy (an airway inserted into the windpipe) and therefore need constant access to a suction pump to remove build-up of saliva.  At present children are offered a large, mains powered machine, but newer, smaller models are now on the market which offer much more freedom and flexibility to children who need these machines.

We have pledged to provide three suction machine for use by children under the care of the hospice. 

Beneficiaries: Children with severe and life limiting health problems in Stoke and Staffordshire.
