Warrington General Hospital - Bilisoft Blanket

 

Warrington Hospital Neo Natal Unit cares for up to 300 babies each year needing specialist care.

 

The Bilisoft Phototherapy Blanket is used to treat babies with jaundice in the early days following delivery. Jaundice is a common condition in newborn babies and can be very serious, particularly in pre-term babies, where neo-natal care is essential.

 

The blanket is more efficient than the older style lamps, and therefore reduces the time that mothers and babies are separated.

 

We have had a pledge of support from a team of volunteers to raise the money for the main blanket, costing £2,527.90. We are therefore looking for a further £1,142.40 for the add-ons and accessories.
