Leeds General Infirmary - Vital Signs and Pulse Oximeter
UPDATE: This equipment was delivered in 2010.
Leeds General Infirmary’s Ward 48A is a busy surgical ward treating an average of 140 children and babies each month. They have asked us to provide vital monitoring equipment to give their patients the best possible care.
The Vital Signs Monitor is a single, portable item that can measure heart rate, oxygen levels, respiration, blood pressure and temperature. It will help to monitor babies in critical care, without too many wires or probes.
Oxygen Saturation Monitors measure the pulse rate and oxygen saturation of a child. It is very difficult to keep a small child still when trying to monitor its condition. This can make it impossible to get accurate readings, resulting in false alarms that are stressful to parents. The new technology eliminates this problem as it is more reliable even if the child moves around.
The two items will cost £2,693.90
