Trafford General Hospital opened a Paediatric Observation and Assessment Unit in Spring 2009, allowing children to be seen in their local hospital and discharged under the care of their community nurse.
The community nursing team has been significantly expanded as part of the Making it Better strategy to improve children’s services in Greater Manchester.
The new community nursing team will be working in the POAU and also in homes, to ensure children receive the best care, while cutting down on hospital admissions.
These stethoscopes are the best quality, hospital-grade equipment, and will help to ensure that children are receiving top care at home.
The cost of six stethoscopes will be £360.
