CAFT - Closomat Toilet
UPDATE: This equipment was delivered in 2008.
We have been asked to install a Closomat Toilet for disabled and immobile children and teenagers using the Respite Care facility at the Children's Adventure Farm Trust.
This project will help to maintain the dignity, hygiene and independence of children and young teenagers with multiple and profound disabilities. The Respite Care Facility caters for children of all ages and abilities, and is fully accessible. It contains specialist equipment to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay. At present, however, only standard toilets are available and for many children this means they must be assisted. Feedback from the farm’s users, particularly the teenagers, is that a Closomat Toilet would allow them to be more independent and would improve the quality of their stay.
This toilet facility is available in many of the schools and organisations who visit the farm. We are keen to get this equipment installed to improve the experience of children visiting the Adventure Farm. The total cost will be £3,475.
