Olympic Fever hits MedEquip4Kids

MedEquip4Kids is getting set for London 2012 thanks to our winning team of supporters! A face familiar to many, our patron and long-standing supporter Elizabeth Stones took part in the Olympic Torch Relay in recognition of her work with MedEquip4Kids. Elizabeth, from Bolton, carried the torch as it went through Ashton-under-Lyne.

Elizabeth has been fundraising for the charity since 2001, and has personally raised over £27,000. She is an inspiration to everyone who meets her and we were delighted that she was chosen to represent us.

The beaming smile on her face was brighter than the Olympic flame! An experience she and her family will never forget.

MedEquip4Kids also had the opportunity to make history by taking part in the first race at the Olympic Stadium earlier this year. We selected two of our runners by ballot to take part in the 100m sprint on the Olympic track.

In this summer of sport, we’re so proud of all our runners, cyclists, trekkers and swimmers. You all deserve a gold medal.
