A Manchester bar came up trumps when MedEquip4Kids were left in the lurch this weekend.
Purity, on Peter Street in the city centre, stepped up at the last minute to host the MedEquip4Kids after run party for our 10k runners.
For the last few years, the after run party has been held at Beluga on Mount Street, but the bar has shut down unexpectedly, and it left the charity with a team of 187 runners and nowhere to go!
The manager at Purity could not have done more to make the party a success. With just two days' notice, he gave MedEquip4Kids free use of the bar's downstairs space, and made everyone feel very welcome.
Ghazala Baig, Chief Executive of MedEquip4Kids said: "We're just so grateful that the team at Purity could step in at the last minute and make our runners feel so welcome. It's so important to be able to say thank you to everyone who turns out and runs for MedEquip4Kids, and we love meeting all our runners afterwards when they can relax and chat. Thank you to everyone at Purity for your help."
