MedEquip4Kids say a massive thanks to Oldham charity

Keeping in touch with donors and supporters is life-blood to charities, and printing and design costs don’t come cheap. Charities around the country are finding it tough to pay the bills and still keep delivering support that’s needed more than ever.

That’s why Prestwich children’s charity MedEquip4Kids are so grateful to Oldham-based charity Life for a Life, for their five-year sponsorship of the charity’s supporter newsletter.

MedEquip4Kids improves the health of children and babies in the north of England by providing equipment not available from limited NHS resources. We believe every child should have access to the best medical care when they need it most.

Life for a Life, based in Oldham, is a charity offering a commemoration service to bereaved families - planting memorial trees and installing memorial benches in one of fifty woodland locations across the United Kingdom.

Life for a Life has supported the work of MedEquip4Kids over the past five years by funding the printing of the charity’s newsletter three times a year. This has meant that MedEquip4Kids has been able to keep in touch with donors, supporters and families and to promote the charity’s work and fundraising events. The donation has helped MedEquip4Kids to deliver equipment that benefit 80,000 children in the North West each year.

The donation has been valued at £4,910 to the charity, but the impact of the donation has been so much greater. It has allowed the charity to keep in regular contact, and to build relationships with donors across the region.

Ghazala Baig, Chief Executive of MedEquip4Kids, said: “On behalf of everyone involved with MedEquip4Kids I’d like to say a massive thank you to the committee of Life for a Life. The support we have received has made such a difference to our charity over the last few years, meaning that even more of the money we receive can be used to provide lifesaving equipment where it’s needed most.”

The sponsorship has now ended, and the two charities are looking at other ways of working together. Anyone wanting to sponsor the MedEquip4Kids newsletter can contact Vicky Bunnage on 0161 798 1600.
