The Thomas Cook Children’s Charity have donated more than £11,000 to fund two state-of-the-art jaundice meters for the Stockport Community Midwifery Team based at Stepping Hill Hospital.
MedEquip4Kids is a growing charity – and we would love to have your help if you can spare us some of your time.
There are a number of different ways you can get involved with MedEquip4Kids through volunteering.
As our calendar of events continues to grow each year, we need volunteers to help them run smoothly. The majority of our events are at weekends and opportunities can include marshalling, manning refreshments, cheering participants as they cross a finish line, selling raffle tickets or being our mascot for the day.
We need help to spread the name of MedEquip4Kids and make more people aware of the work we do. Perhaps you can volunteer your time to organise a collection in your local shopping centre, or get together a group of friends to do a supermarket bag pack? Do you have a local pub which would host a quiz night for us or can you take a soft toy to raffle in the workplace? Even if you just take a handful of posters for our upcoming events and display them around your local community it would be greatly appreciated.
There are certain times of the year when the MedEquip4Kids’ Appeals Office becomes extremely busy when we have a number of mailings or events scheduled. If you have a spare afternoon, perhaps some time in between college classes, and would like to help out in the Appeals Office, please let us know.
However much time you have to spare, your work will be appreciated. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact our volunteer co-ordinator or register as a volunteer.
