Excitement is building as the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics draws closer - so why not celebrate by taking part in the Gold Challenge and raise thousands of pounds for MedEquip4Kids?!
THE CHALLENGE
To take part in the Gold Challenge you must walk, run, cycle, horse-ride, swim, row or canoe the equivalent of 2012 kilometres before the starting ceremony. This can be done as an individual, school class, church group, gym, group of friends, family group or company team.
You or your team must cover 2012 km via one or more of the following sports:
Manage your challenge by logging your distances on to the online 2012 totalizer and keep your friends updated on your progress. Team members don’t need to take part in activities together and everyone’s efforts count towards the team’s overall distance.
We will provide you with sponsor forms and links to on-line fundraising sites to help you raise funds to help our important work providing vital, and often life-saving, equipment to ensure that when children fall ill or are forced to deal with long term illnesses, they have access to the very best health care facilities.
You have lots of freedom, you can set how quickly you want to complete your challenge before the Opening Ceremony in July 2012. You can even decide to take on 20.12km or 201.2km if you think 2012km might be a little too much for your team.
If you sign up and are fundraising by 22nd February 2012 we will enter you into our ballot to win the chance of a lifetime for one individual to run the 100m sprint in the Olympic Stadium watched by friends, family and a cheering crowd of 20,00 at a charity event on 1st April 2012.
You might not break the world record, but you'll be paving the way for a fantastic summer of sporting success.
If you are a school group or a large group please contact us on 0161 798 1600 or Gold Challenge on 0203 384 7513 and we can help you get all your group’s details easily registered.
Registration is free and you raise as much as you can by asking family and friends to sponsor you.
