Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

The Yorkshire Three Peaks is one of the most famous fitness challenges in the country - walk 24 miles conquering Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside.

In 2012 we will be holding our biggest ever Yorkshire Three Peaks event on Saturday 9th September 2012, which is a timed challenge open to both individuals and teams.

The walk begins in the village of Horton-in-Ribblesdale and your challenge is to climb Yorkshire's three famous peaks - Pen-y-ghent (691m), Whernside (728m) and Ingleborough (723m) - within 12 hours.

The total ascent will be 5,200ft (approx) and the footpaths can be wet, boggy, rugged and rocky - so, although an enjoyable walk, it is demanding and you will need to train beforehand to get the most out of it.

There are two registration options for this Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge:

Individuals: £25 non-refundable registration fee and £225 sponsorship.

Teams of 4: £60 joint non-refundable registration fee and £800 joint sponsorship.

Once registered, you will receive full fundraising support, tips and advice from MedEquip4Kids. The route will be marshalled with refreshments available along the route and plenty of food available at the finish.

The money you raise will be used to provide medical equipment and facilities for children's wards and community health teams across the north of England. Find out what we are funding near you on our projects page.

You can register online or, if you would like further information, please CONTACT US.
