MEGAHIKE 2012

MEGAHIKE....arguably the best team challenge in the UK is back for 2012! In 2011, over 50 teams took on the challenge of trying to complete the 50 mile route in 24 hours and raised £85,000 for MedEquip4Kids. The 2012 event is going to be even bigger with more than 80 teams hungry for the ultimate endurance challenge raising money for sick and injured children across the north of England.

To complete MEGAHIKE, your team of four has 24 hours to conquer the 50 mile route. But, if you want to beat MEGAHIKE, your team will need to beat the sun and complete the challenge before the sun sets (17-18 hours).

We are not going to lie to you - MEGAHIKE is one of the toughest team challenges in the UK and, under no circumstances, should it be under estimated.

This monster hike is set in the heart of the Pennines and will begin at day break on Saturday 23rd June 2012 from Hollingworth Lake in Littleborough. The route allows you to walk through some of the most stunning scenery the North West has to offer, but please be assured it will test you and your team both physically and mentally as you trek along sections of the 'backbone' of England, the Pennine Way.
